This is a text written by an Australian girl about her family and what each member of the family does during a week. (You can click on the text to download it as a word document) In order to translate this text, follow these steps. 1. Highlight the particles in the text (は、が、に、で、を、へ、と、の) Doing this will mean that the words in the sentences will "pop out". 2. Decide what type of sentence each sentence is. (Description? Location? Going Verb? Doing Verb?) Doing this will mean that you'll have an idea of what category each type of word comes from. For example a は will come after the subject. Or a で will come after a transport word in a going verb sentence. 3. Try translating each word by using your brain first, your book, a vocab list, dictionary or the teacher!
