Coming of Age Day (Seijin-no-hi) - People who are 20 years old celebrate becoming adults. Setsubun (The Bean Throwing Festival) - A Japanese tradition of chasing away evil spirits. Valentine's Day and White Day Japanese Girl's Day (Hina Matsuri) Children's Day (Kodomono-hi) - Japanese Boy's festival. Star Festival (Tanabata) Bon Festival - An important Japanese tradition to honor ancestors. Shichi-go-san - Around this day, people wish for the healthy growth of 7 year-old girls, 5 year-old boys, and 3 year-old girls.

You need to find out the following about the event:
When it occurs
Who is involved in celebrating it (children, adults, certain ages, families, etc)
How it is celebrated (what is done, eaten, performed, worn etc)
Where it is celebrated (in houses, in communities, all over Japan, in certain regions, shrines/temples etc
Once you have completed your research, present your findings as a powerpoint. Here's a suggestion of how many slides you would use: Slide 1 - Title Slide 2 - When it occurs Slide 3 - How it is celebrated (who, how, where) Slide 4 - Additonal pics (or how it is celebrated info continued)
