Japanese Images Art Activity
Method Step 1 - Choose a Japanese image template (kimono/Mt Fuji/carp). Step 2 - Write your name on the back of the design Step 3 - Think about the colours and design you would like to include on your image. Step 4 - Put glue onto a section of your image at a time, filling in that section with the tissue paper squares. Step 5 - Repeat until the whole image is covered.
Hints The tissue paper is very thin, you might need to separate it from the other pieces. Make sure you only take what you need and return your left overs to the correct container because 9 other classes will be using these resources. It's easiest to work with one colour at a time. It's okay if you overlap the pieces a little bit, the overall effect will look like a water colour painting. You can go over the outside lines a little bit because you'll cut out your picture once it dries.
